We have loads of scraps at goodmama, and I have my own roll of bamboo velour (yes, just to roll up in). What if I made them undies and lined the crotch, or better yet the whole thing, in bamboo velour?
So I started a'googling, and I can't hold it in any longer. How freaking cool are these? I am slightly obsessed now.
I admit, I started looking and even found that shirt on clearance at Hot Topic. I neeeeed skeleton underwear. I also thought about all the other t-shirts I could turn into underwear.
But really, we have this roll of rainbow fabric at the office from diaper-making and I think I want rainbow undies. And scrappy undies. Like one print for the front, another for the crotch and a third for the back. Awesome! I get the feeling this is going to be addictive.
I could figure out my pattern and then cut out a bunch and make a stash of undies for all my kids all at once!
I want to do this and post a tutorial for everyone, so you can play along at home. Here's some boyshorts a customer made from goodmama fabric, how freaking cute are these? Of course, I'd love my stomach to look like that too, is that something I can sew as well? Because wow!
Remember this Sakura fabric? I so loved that.
Have you made undies before? Boxers, panties, camis, jammies? Do you think this could be fun? I'm thinking yes.
